# Quivvo vs Daytona

Both Quivvo and Daytona run AI-generated code in isolated cloud environments. A 2 vCPU, 4 GiB machine costs $0.054 per running hour on Quivvo and about $0.166 on Daytona. Daytona's terms describe its sandboxes as a "container or microVM environment", while every Quivvo machine is a Firecracker microVM with its own kernel. Daytona offers SDKs in five languages and an enterprise tier.

## When should I choose Daytona?

Choose Daytona if you want an SDK for Ruby, Go or Java, or need a bring-your-own-cloud deployment. Quivvo's SDKs are for TypeScript and Python, and it doesn't offer bring-your-own-cloud. Daytona also includes the first 5 GiB of disk, where Quivvo charges for all of it.

## When should I choose Quivvo?

Choose Quivvo if you want a full VM for each agent at a lower hourly price. A Quivvo machine has root, Docker on the default template and a persistent disk at `/data`. It suspends when idle, keeping memory and processes when it can and otherwise stopping, which keeps the disk, and wakes on the next command. Agents can use it through a hosted MCP server, and one with no browser can sign itself up for you to approve.
