Quivvo vs InstaBox

Quivvo and InstaBox are built the same way: each agent gets a Firecracker microVM running Debian 13, with root, Docker on the default template, a persistent disk at /data, and a pause that keeps memory when it can. InstaBox costs less and does more. A 2 vCPU, 4 GiB machine costs about $0.017 per running hour on InstaBox and $0.054 on Quivvo, and InstaBox adds Android and CI templates and a URL for each port. Quivvo lets you choose the region a machine runs in, and its credit doesn't expire.

InstaBox's figures come from its pricing page, limits, machine sizes, ports and auto-pause pages, read on 7 November 2026. The hourly price is our arithmetic from its published rates.

When should I choose InstaBox?

Choose InstaBox if price matters most: a machine costs about a third as much per running hour. Choose it too if you want Android or CI machines, larger machines, or a public URL for each port that wakes the machine on the first visit. Its Free plan also allows a larger machine, 4 vCPUs and 8 GiB, and each of its paid plans runs more machines at once.

When should I choose Quivvo?

Choose Quivvo if you need machines in a particular region, such as close to your users or your data in North America or Europe, since InstaBox places machines itself. Choose it too if you'd rather buy credit that doesn't expire than credit that resets each month, or if your agents run long jobs on the Free plan, where Quivvo sets no limit on how long a machine runs.
